¡Bienvenidos to Ciclismo Euskadi cycling camp!

While many camps offer room, board and guided rides, our camp has set itself apart by offering a variety of packages to include professional physiological testing and training consultation and participation in a Basque cycling Clásica (similar to the Gran Fondas of Italy). Both competitive cyclists and recreational cyclists alike can enjoy the opportunity to be treated as a pro cyclist.

Aficionado Camp

This camp is designed with a slightly longer stay and slower pace to provide extra time to take in the local food and culture while enjoying the fantastic and challenging riding of the Basque country. Also included is a private room in an upgraded hotel. Some dinners are eaten out at nice local restaurants such as typical Basque restaurants and others at the hotel. Dinners eaten out are paid for individually. If you want to experience what it's like to be Basque this camp is for you.

This camp optionally includes VO2 max tests, lactate analysis, oxidative stress tests, body composition, and blood work to each cyclist. Your testing will be done by Iñigo San Millán, who is one of the top physiologists in cycling. For the past eight years, Iñigo San Millán has been working with four Division I teams: Vitalicio, ONCE, Vini Caldirola, and now as Head Physiologist and Medical Team coordinator for Saunier Duval-Prodir.

All testing is done on the latest and most sophisticated equipment used by doctors of professional cycling teams. No training camp is going to transform a rider into a far better cyclist in one or two weeks. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and information you need to achieve your goals in cycling. Riders may also have the opportunity to participate in a cycling clásica, depending on the 2007 clásica schedule. This depends on whether a clásica is held in the area of the camp during your stay.
